Tami Weissert: You're never supposed to hate...right? Woodrow Kroll has today's Bible Minute.

Woodrow Kroll: In Proverbs 8:13, the Bible defines the fear of the Lord in a way that you will not hear any place other than the Bible. Proverbs 8:13, "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil." Now, you and I live in a society that hates the word "hate."

Now, here's what I have to tell you, though. The Bible says God hates certain things. And one of the things it says very clearly here, "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil." If you respect God, you hate the things God hates. It you don't respect God, you don't hate anything. But the Bible says, "You hate evil, that's the fear of the Lord."

Tami Weissert: Fearing God means hating what He hates. Take another look with a Bible study from bibleminute.org.
