Title: Why Church is Important
When you became a Christian, you were placed into the Body of Christ--the Church. It's not a single-cell organism; it's a divinely designed, fully integrated and complex thing, just like the human body. Romans 12:5 says, "So we, though many, are one body in Christ and individually members one of another." To function fully as a Christian, you need the rest of the Body. Without you, something is missing in the church; and without them, you're missing something in your Christian experience. Let's face it--it's not always easy to get along with other Christians. At times, we're hurt and disappointed because people let us down, and they don't live up to what they say. However, that's never an excuse to reject Christ's Body. What Does God Say?
My Thoughts
My PartThe Church isn't perfect; it's made up of imperfect people who have been forgiven by Jesus Christ, just like you. But it needs you, even if you need to be an example of love, genuine faith and devoted fellowship. Philippians 2:5-18 points to Jesus Christ as our model. Plan ways you can adopt the attitudes Jesus had as you relate to other Christians this week at church. Additional Scripture to read: Ephesians 2:19-22; Ephesians 4:1-16,32
