Title: God Gives Food
Tami Weissert: So you say grace before you eat--ever wonder why? Woodrow Kroll offers today's Bible Minute. Woodrow Kroll: Most of us who are believers stop, and we thank God for our food. Sometimes we do it before we eat; sometimes we do it after we eat. Where does that come from? At the feeding of the 5,000, John 6:11 says, "Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people." Jesus said the blessing at the feeding of the 5,000. And you know what? At the feeding of the 4,000, Matthew 15, it says, Jesus "took the seven loaves and the fish, thanked God for them, and broke them into pieces. He gave them to the disciples, who distributed the food to the crowd" (Matthew 15:36, NLT). So, for you to give thanks for the daily things of life is a good thing. Tami Weissert: Make it your habit to give thanks for daily things. We'll get you started at bibleminute.org.
