Tami Weissert: Are you in the running for the crown of victory? Woodrow Kroll looks at this reward, with today's Bible Minute.

Woodrow Kroll: The crown of victory is given to those people who recognize that running the Christian race is not a sprint, it's a marathon. They've spent time in God's Word; they've filled their minds with God's Word. So when tough times come, they have something to fall back on.

First Corinthians 9:24 [-27], Paul says, "Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control at all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable." This is a marathon, and the crown is given at the end.

Tami Weissert: Keep running the race. And for some biblical coaching, tap into bibleminute.org.
