Title: Crown of Righteousness
Tami Weissert: Looking ahead has its own reward. With today's Bible Minute, here's Woodrow Kroll. Woodrow Kroll: Paul knew that his life's work was pretty well over by the time he wrote 2 Timothy. He looked back on all that God had done through him, and he had a certain degree of satisfaction in all that. Second Timothy 4:8, he says, "There's laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award me on that Day." He goes on in the verse and he says, "And not to me only, but also to all those who love His appearing." The crown of righteousness comes to everyone who just can't wait for the Lord Jesus to come back. You pray, "Lord, let it be today, Maranatha. Even so, come Lord Jesus." If you're anticipating the return of the Lord, this could be the crown that you're awaiting at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Tami Weissert: Develop your vision for the future.
