Tami Weissert: It's all about salvation and sin, in today's Bible Minute from 1 John 3.

Woodrow Kroll: "Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother" (1 John 3:6-10).

Well, there are strong verses talking about the evidence for our salvation being that we do not practice sin. If we continue to practice a form of sin, that practice of sin has a hold on us, a stronger hold on us than the Lord God has on us. When you become a new creature in Christ Jesus, old things are passed away.
