Tami Weissert: What's better than an angel? Listen to Woodrow Kroll with this Bible Minute from Hebrews 1.

Woodrow Kroll: If you think angels are really cool beings, I have news for you. The Bible says Jesus is just so much better than angels. Jesus is superior to all of God's creation because He is the Creator Himself. In verse 4, He has "become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they" (NKJV).

Angels do have names, you know. And what it says in this verse is that Jesus' name is far superior to their names, but it is the character of the person who bore that name, a more excellent name than anyone else. You see, Jesus has a name that reflects His character. The name Jesus simply means "salvation."
