Title: Problem of Pride
Woodrow Kroll: We struggle with our pride, don't we? We struggle with arrogance. Tami Weissert: Here's Woodrow Kroll and today's Bible Minute. Woodrow Kroll: In the ninth chapter of Romans, verse 17, God says of Pharaoh, "Indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth." He is the most powerful man on the face of the earth right now. And God says, "I have brought you to your position so you can bring glory to My name." Pharaoh didn't like that. His problem was pride. Sometimes we confuse our role with God's role. We think we are in charge when really we are a servant of the Lord God. And we don't recognize that we are bought with a price. That's what the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians [6:] 19-20. If you belong to God today, you are not in charge. Tami Weissert: We need to accept that we're not in charge. God's Word can help--stop by bibleminute.org.
