Title: The Lion and the Lamb
Tami Weissert: Jesus is both the Lion ... and the Lamb. Listen to this Bible Minute with Woodrow Kroll. Woodrow Kroll: Look at verse 5: "One of the elders said to me," (John) "'Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.' And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain." The right One is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. This Lion, He was "as a Lamb who had been slain." This is the Lord Jesus. Before you read anything about the judgment of God in these passages, you get to see the kindness of God revealing to us the gentle Lamb who died for us.
